Invest Colliegate Spanish 1-6TH GRADE

SPANISH 1-SRA. ABRAHAM

 IN THIS COURSE, STUDENTS WILL LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE. THE COURSE WILL FOCUS ON SPANISH VOCABULARY ACQUISITION IN THE BEGINNING AND MERGE COMMUNICATIVELY INTO GRAMMAR INSTRUCTION. STUDENTS WILL HAVE 3 DAYS OF INTENSE CONVERSTAION PRACTICE AND 2 DAYS OF HEAVY REPETIION VIA GAMIFICATION AND PROJECTS. SPANISH 1 STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE 500 VOCABULARY WORDS THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE COURSE. STUDENTS WILL BE INTRODUCED TO INTERPERSONAL, INTRAPERSONAL AND PRESENTATIONAL MODES OF COMMUNICAITON IN READING, WRITING, LISTENING AND SPEAKING. STUDENTS WILL ALSO EXPLORE THE CULTURE OF THE SPANISH SPEAKING WORLD AND ANAYLSE THE INFLUENCE THIS CULTURE CURRENTLY PLAY IN OUR SOCIETY. 

Summer Spanish Fest 2018

The Summer Spanish Fest is an 8wk program that begins on June 18th-August 6th.  The is designed for children ages 3-8. Each week is divided by a theme. Your child will spend each week gettings lots of repetition with Spanish vocabulary stemming from the topics of the week, through songs, dance, art, culinary lessons and games!!!!!!!! Not only do they get to learn Spanish in an amazingly fun way, they also get the opportunity to strengthen their cognitive skills,  as well as build friendships with other kids who will be joining the fest right alongside them! Can't wait to see!!

Weekly Conversation (Introductory)

We will host weekly conversations for practice. These conversations will be for approximately 1/2 an hour and will be back and forth chat. We send vocabulary words prior to each session. We then practice during live conversation with the vocabulary that was sent for the session. 

Additionally, we provide interactive resources to assist with acquiring the vocabulary prior to the conversation. 

Introductory Vocabulary

This introductory Spanish course introduces students to the basic, yet essential vocabulary needed to talk about everyday objects and locations in Spanish. Emphasis will be placed on proper pronunciation and  an array of pedagogical approaches will be employed, such as photos recognition, written text, audio, and gamification (badges, simulation, interactive communication, etc.)
